Honey Bee Affirmations are inspired by my niece, Chana Smith, a farmer and beekeeper, and the adorable “Queen Bee” in my family. She is also the hereditary sachem of the historical Machapunga Skaru’re or Tuscarora people.


Made with glass seed beads and alphabet tiles. Inspired by the Geechee tradition of writing on fabric or paper and either pinning or sewing it on clothes, this tradition is updated to 2.0 using new materials and tools (S-lon cording and Kumihimo disk for weaving).
