Join me as I share the ancient and cultural heritage of soap-making. Drawing on the indigo practices of the Gullah Geechee people from Johns Island, SC, and Indigenous people living on Contentnea Creek Homeland, you will learn various soap-making methods, rebatch, cold process, and melt and pour, while infusing the soaps with natural plant-based indigo. These workshops are about sharing life lessons Mis' Minnie Haskins shared with me through the process of making soap on Daniel Hill and in East Wilson, North Carolina.
